NAMI Family Support Group is a trained facilitator led support group for family members, caregivers and loved ones of individuals living with mental illness. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar circumstances.
NAMI’s Support Groups are unique because they follow a structured model, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to be heard and to get what they need.
- Free of cost to participants
- Designed for adult loved ones (18+) of individuals living with mental illness
- Led by family members of individuals living with mental illness
- Meets weekly or monthly
- No specific medical therapy or medication is endorsed or recommended
Our support groups are free and open to anyone meeting the criteria, however, student or any non-participant observation is not authorized. Please feel free to call our HelpLine if you have questions about this or any of our programs.
Memorial Hospital (3625 University Blvd S / Medical Building Classroom 3) Support group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings from 7-830PM
Ortega United Methodist Church (4807 Roosevelt Blvd / Parlor) Support group meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings from 7-830PM
Orange Park Medical Center (2001 Kingsley Ave / Classroom 2) Support group meets 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings from 6-730PM
Holiday Exceptions - regular scheduled meetings do not occur on holidays.
